About Me

            Dessert enthusiast Candice Gordon comes from humble beginnings as well as legacy. Born and raised in NYC, the food mecca of the world this Brooklyn native took to the kitchen at a very young age. Her mother, a former well known caterer,restaurateur and sole proprietor of Stir It Up Jamaican Restaurant in Boreum Hill, Brooklyn served as an inspiration to her in her teenage years. As a young girl Candice was always experimenting with flavor profiles and testing culinary boundaries since the tender age of 7 years old. As her love for cooking grew so did her curiosity in baking and cake decorating. She began baking in her teens and took to influences such as Jacques Pépin and Julia Child.

         She began her true exploration during her time studying Culinary Arts at Kingsborough Community College where she obtained her A.S in Culinary Arts. She continued to do small orders for friends and family members for holidays and birthdays as well as working for a small family business for a year becoming their kitchen supervisor, head baker and on site cake decorator.

Candice currently started her own Youtube channel and plans to endeavor further into vlogging in the future.
